Will... I... Be My Valentine?

With a touch of narcissism, and inspired in part by an article,  I celebrated... me... for Valentine's Day.

First, I kissed myself (okay, they're earrings):

And then on the way to work, I bought myself a rose:

This rose was as close as I could come to my favorite rose, which is something like this (yellow, with red tips):

Which reminds me of another favorite flower of mine, Lantana, that I discovered in Taiwan and France:

While at work, I cared about myself so much that I didn't allow myself to eat any of the temptation cookies that a co-worker brought in to work:

I really don't care for sugar cookies, if truth be told. And I did a good job holding back. Instead I treated myself to this kind of dessert:

No, I'm not a paid sponsor. Just telling a story, here. One reason I held off on the cookies, was because I knew I would be treating myself to dinner (Indian food again, yummy!), and giving myself Swiss chocolates later:

Which I did.

  1. Glad you had a fun day. We have had those Lantana flowers at the last two places we've lived. They're pretty enough and seem to attract butterflies which is nice, but man do they stink. I think I may be allergic or something 'cuz every time I smell them (which was often as they were growing wild off our front porch and my daughter kept picking them for me) I would start sneezing. I finally attempted to rip them out this winter because of the smell...you are welcome to come to our house and take them with you though as I'm pretty sure they are unkillable. ;)

  2. I love your lip earrings. I'm not a big fan of sugar cookies either. Especially if there is really good chocolate involved later in the day. :)

  4. Sarah. You are too cute :) And, what the heck! I think I missed the Valentine's day cookies. Did they bust them out as soon as I left?! Anyways....I just love our chats at work. Thanks for being my friend :)
