Now that I've caught up with my National Park posts, I will now post about the traveling I have done since visiting the parks!
First, here are a couple jack-o-lanterns I carved around Halloween.
I like that the one on the right sort of looks like a strawberry.
The last weekend of October, I went to Albuquerque to visit my friend Michael. Fall had mostly already fallen in Northern Utah, so it was nice to see some changing leaves still. I really like trees in the midst of changing... with all colors visible. It's so beautiful!
While in ABQ I got to see the temple. Also beautiful!
And we took a tram ride up to the top of Sandia Mountain.
Along the way we saw remains from a TWA plane crash, but I didn't get a picture of it (technically it was on our way back down). The view from the top was great. But it was cold!! Here is a picture of Michael and me. I included this picture so you could see that we were really both there (and I think I look good! - Ha!).
At the top, we went on a hike to a stone cabin.
(No, don't worry, the trail wasn't along the edge of the cliff. It looks pretty scary from this angle, though!)
Here's a view from the cabin.
Later we went to Old Town...
It was kind of fun being in old town while they had trick-or-treating going on for dressed-up youngsters. My favorite shop was a weaving shop. We got to talk to the weaver for a bit, but then we had to rush so we could make the rest of our plans. We went to dinner at a French restaurant and then saw the Blue Man Group. They were great!

The blog looks different....I like it. Change is good, sometimes. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween back at ya.
I enjoyed your pictures, as always. I also watched the video of Elder Holland; it made me happy, too!
ReplyDeleteJenny, I like the change, too. I was inspired to change it because I liked what Julie did with her blog background. Festive!
ReplyDeleteMom, I was confused for a second, because I didn't have a video in my post, but it's on the sidebar. :) Glad it made you happy, too.
I really like the new blog look. And it was great to see pictures of your trip! Hope you had a Merry Christmas!
